No 3 Dress


3A (semi formal day dress)

(1)  plain blue worsted or polyester trousers/skirt  
(2)  white long sleeved, collar attached, shirt 
(3)  chaplain's shoulder rank badges 
(4)  black day tie 
(5)  cap with chaplain's badge (male chaplains);
tricorn hat with chaplain's cap badge (female chaplains) 
(6)  blue beret with chaplain's badge when ordered 
(7)  black socks (with trousers)  
(8)  black stockings/tights (with skirt) 
(9)  black shoes without toecaps 
(10)  white plimsolls when in boats 
 

3B (informal day dress) 

(1)  plain blue worsted or polyester trousers/skirt 
(2)  white short sleeved, collar attached, shirt 
(3)  chaplain's shoulder rank badges 
(4)  cap with chaplain's cap badge (male chaplains); 
tricorn hat with chaplain's cap badge (female chaplains) 
(5)  blue beret with chaplain's badge when ordered 
(6)  black socks (with trousers) 
(7)  black stockings/tights (with skirt) 
(8)  black shoes without toecaps 
(9)  white plimsolls when in boats 
 

 NB: a tie is never worn with a short sleeved shirt 

3C (semi formal day dress with jersey) 

 (1)  plain blue worsted or polyester trousers/skirt 
 (2)  (a) white long sleeve, collar attached, shirt with black day tie  - this is the current reccomended preference, to mirror RN protocols (but b or c acceptable when a not yet issued)
        (b) black clerical shirt with clerical collar or 
        (c) white clerical tunic shirt with clerical collar and small stock 
 (3)  navy blue jersey (heavy wool or universal) 
 (4)  Chaplain's shoulder rank badges 
 (5)  cap with chaplain's cap badge (male chaplains); tricorn hat with chaplain's cap 
badge (female chaplains) 
 (6)  blue beret with chaplain's badge when ordered 
 (7)  black socks (with trousers) 
 (8)  black stockings/tights (with skirt) 
 (9)  black shoes worn without toe-caps 
 (10)  white plimsolls when in boats
